Obituary of John William Lupyczuk

John was born in a community 80 kilometers East of Odessa, Ukraine and immigrated to Canada with his parents at the age of three where they settled into farm life at Serviceberry Creek, Alberta. Never one to shy away from hard work, John painstakingly built his farm and rental properties with a desire to leave a legacy for his family. John was fascinated by, and passionate about, living things - from his cattle, sheep, chickens, and pheasants, to the tiniest grasshopper. He showed his love by providing for and teaching his skills to his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife Isabella; his children Paul, Stan, Leonard, Isabell, and Ken; and grandchildren Heather, Chelsey, Breanna, Taylor, Jordan, Graysen, and Kingston. John was predeceased by his parents Anna and Bill, as well as his son Peter and grandson Christopher. The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Lord of All Lutheran Church (112 Lakeside Blvd, Strathmore), at 11:00 a.m.
