Obituary of Reta Marilyn Rollison

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Reta Marilyn Rollinson (Pender) the wife of the late Donald Rollinson.

Mom will be missed by all who knew her throughout her life. She was kind-hearted, caring, loving, and nurturing to all who knew her. Mom was famous for her butter tarts. She truly enjoyed her games on the computer and just listening to music and chatting online with family and friends… She loved to dance; she and her sister Margaret sure could do a mean Jive. Mom loved to joke around; her favorite joke was to play the 3 little pigs on people (LOL).

Mom was born in St John, NB May 16, 1944, to her parents Walter and Reta Pender. Mom lived in NB, ON, BC, and AB. Mom never had a problem adjusting to her new surroundings and made friends very easily. In her younger years, Mom was a waitress and babysitter and later became the owner of her 2 Restaurants. She also did a lot of volunteering throughout the years…

Mom was pre-deceased by her parents, sister Margaret, sister-in-law Fran, brother-In-laws Bill and Mal as well and Aunts and Uncles, Great Niece and Great Nephew and Cousins.

She is survived by son Doug (Suzanne), daughter Rhonda (Wayne) and son Peter; 3 Stepchildren Blaine, Brent (Angela), and Brenda (Todd) also her brother Norman of Ontario; Nieces and Nephews; Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren.

Our family would like to thank Dr. Sader and all the nurses and staff at Strathmore Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Thank you to all her Home Care workers and a huge thank you to James for always being there to take care of our mom. James, she truly appreciated the work you did for her… Even when it seemed to go unnoticed… AGAIN THANK YOU!!!
