Obituary of Devon Lee Maucieri

Devon Lee Maucieri (47), of Strathmore, Alberta passed away peacefully in his home on August 17, 2023

Devon was born in Calgary Alberta at the Old General Hospital on November 5, 1975. Devon was the baby of the family and was loved by everyone who knew him. He excelled in sports and was very
passionate in basketball, soccer, and volleyball. If he wasn’t on the court or on the field you would find him skipping school and fishing at one of his many favorite fishing holes. Devon loved the outdoors and
in high school was introduced to hunting. He became an avid hunter and spent many hours scouting and getting permission from landowners to hunt. He loved archery and started to compete in indoor and
outdoor tournaments. He eventually became an ambassador for Bowtech. Devon shared his love of the outdoors with his own family. Between camping every weekend in the bush, or camping in a farm field
while attending a tournament he was always able to share his love with his two beautiful girls, Alexis Colleen Maucieri, and Alyssa Lee Maucieri.

Devon spent most of his career working in outside sales for heavy duty industrial products. He spent his last couple of years working for MVA Consulting as a line coordinator. Devon loved people and
cherished his family and friends He was very compassionate and cared about everyone he knew. He was constantly checking in on his friends and made sure they were always ok.

Devon met his wife Kara Lee (Anderson) Maucieri at church when he was nine years old. They were high school sweethearts who did everything together. They had an amazing relationship and loved each
other deeply. They had many trials in their life and always stood by each other and loved each other unconditionally. His companionship and protective nature will be greatly missed.

We would like to Thank the Tom Baker Cancer Unit and the many oncologists and nurses who helped Devon through his cancer journey. Devon shared his journey with everyone he knew and was a great
advocate for colon cancer awareness. #givecancertheshaft.

Devon’s funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 155 Panamount Blvd NW, Calgary, AB at 11:00 am on Friday August 25th. He has requested that everyone wear a jersey.
There will be a small luncheon to follow.
