Obituary of Kathleen Joan Carbert
Kathleen Joan (Fairs) Carbert, 86, of Strathmore, Alberta, was received into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
Kathleen (Katie, Kay) was born on April 21, 1937, to Fred and Alice Fairs in Tillsonburg, Ontario. After her high school graduation, she went to Eastern Pentecostal Bible School in Peterborough, Ontario.
While in Bible school, she met Lyle Carbert. Upon graduating, she married Lyle on September 12, 1959, in Tillsonburg, Ontario. They pastored and ministered together in Castleton, Ontario; St. Mary’s, Ontario; Drumheller, Alberta; Rocky Mountain House, Alberta; and Cochrane, Alberta. They also ministered wherever they went.
Kathleen was pre-deceased by her husband, Lyle Carbert; her parents, Fred and Alice Fairs; brother, Fred Fairs; brother, Malcolm Fairs; sister, Betty Conger; and brother, Glen Fairs. She is survived by her children, Candace (Steve) Knappe; Kim (Bob) Croker; Gord (Tracy) Carbert; nine grandchildren, their spouses and five great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be at Strathmore Full Gospel Church, on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 1:00 pm. There will be a private family burial.
