Obituary of Florence Thelma Morton

Florence passed away on the same day she came into this world, September 30^th, at the age of 94.

Florence was predeceased by Norman Morton; her daughter Laurie Morton-Ruppe; son Wade Morton; brothers Perry and Vic; sister Marion; and grandson Kyle Ruppe.

She is survived by her sister Louise Karr; daughter Noreen (Lorne) Rankine; grandchildren Justin (Cara) Ruppe, Kim (Trent) Richardson, Jesse (Rhiannon) Rankine, and Nick (Tamara) Rankine; and 6 great grandchildren.

Florence grew up in Benton Alberta and got her teaching degree at the University of Alberta. Florence moved to Strathmore in 1954, where she very much enjoyed her teaching career. During those years she married and raised her family. She was very active in the community and was loved by all who knew her. Florence enjoyed being recognized by her former students after her retirement! Florence was incredibly selfless, kind, compassionate and always had loving smile followed with a warm embrace. She will forever be remembered and greatly missed.
