Clint Sillito passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday October 9, 2023 at AgeCare SkyPointe Hospice in Calgary Alberta at the age of 72 years. Clint was survived by his loving wife Carol, his three children Bobbi-Jo (Ian), Jeff, Brandi (Tyler) along with his grandsons Dryden (Caitlin), Daryl (Breanna) and his granddaughter Emily.

Clint leaves behind three brothers Derrol (Belinda), Kevin (Doris), Layne (Mary) as well as four sisters Kris (Richard), Jannelle, Sherida (Martin) and Tricia (Daryl) and many nieces and nephews.

Clint is predeceased by his youngest grandson Dylan, his father Delmar, mother Verene brother-in-law Bert and his sister-in-law Debbie.

Clint was born on November 30, 1950 in Bassano, Alberta. He grew up in Calgary, Alberta and later spent many years taking his own family back to enjoy the family farm in Aldersyde, Alberta.

Clint spent the biggest part of his career as a coal mine bus driver as well as a semi-truck driver. Clint and Carol relocated their family from Calgary in 1981 to the small town of Grande Cache, Alberta where they resided for nineteen years before they moved back to Calgary in 2000. Clint spent his final seven years living near all his children and grandchildren in the beautiful town of Strathmore, Alberta. Clint loved the small town life and settled into Strathmore, easily becoming friends with many people there.

Clint loved to go fishing, golfing and hunting. One of his absolutely favorite things to do was pack up his family and take them out camping as much as he possibly could. He was a very outdoorsy man and took pride in teaching his children all the beauty of being in nature. He was an avid mixed league dart player and every Friday evening you could find him playing darts with friends and family. Clint was a very proud Grandpa; it was a role he enjoyed immensely. You could always find Clint attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering them on from the stands.

Clint was well known for his sense of humor, long list of pranks, his quick comebacks and his infectious smile. As per our Dad’s wishes we will be having a “Backyard BBQ Celebration of Life” on Friday October 13, 2023. Please join us at Brandi & Tyler’s home (605 Edgefield Gate, Strathmore AB) anytime from 12:00 pm onward through the day and evening for a casual visit, cocktail, dad’s favorite burgers and spend time with the family sharing special memories of Clint.

The family would also like to invite you to join them on Thursday October 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Calgary for Clint’s internment. Clint will have his final resting place alongside his grandson Dylan.
