Obituary of Timothy Henry Walls

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our father Tim Walls.

Dad was born in Gimli Manitoba to Eldon and Winnifred Walls on September 15, 1956. They stayed there a few years until his father was transferred to Calgary, Alberta. He graduated from High School and then journeyman school as a Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic.

Dad was then called to farm with his Dad where they farmed for many years near Nightingale. Dad loved farming and loved his animals.

Around this time Dad met Barbara Geeraert and they quickly fell in love and settled down on a farm in Ardenode. Dad started sandblasting and with his partner Floyd Pierson, the business quickly expanded into a great company.  Tim and Barb Walls’ family started in 1980 with the birth of their son Brad. Shortly after in 1981 they had their second son, Corey. Dad was blessed with a daughter Tara in 1983. The family was complete and they stayed in Ardenode until around 2000. Dad and Mom decided that they were done sandblasting and sold the business and the home property and moved to Strathmore. Dad still with the sandblasting itch continued sandblasting and painting until he passed.

He is survived by his father Eldon, his children Brad (Crystal), Corey (Kendra), Tara (Barb B) and his eight grandchildren.  Dad is predeceased by his mother Winnifred Walls and his wife Barb Walls.

Dad and Barb went their separate ways but always remained best friends. Dad lived a life marked by deep and diverse relationships. He cherished the connections he made, each contributing uniquely to his life‘s rich tapestry. We celebrate his memory by acknowledging every significant relationship he formed, recognizing that each held a special place in his story. Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who shared a part of their life with him, enriching his journey and touching ours. His legacy of love and connection continues to inspire us all.

Dad loved camping and fishing and his friends. Dad had a big heart and would help anyone in need.

For anyone that knew dad, he passed away enjoying what he loved to do, hanging out with friends, having beers, with his famous quote “Let’s rock this place!”

The family wishes to thank the close friends that were there to help and support along with the Wheatland EMS Paramedics, Strathmore RCMP, the amazing Doctors and Nurses at the Strathmore Hospital and Glen Van Bussel.

In lieu of flowers please make donations directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca)
