Cindy-Mae Portman

Obituary of Cindy-Mae Ivy Portman

Cindy-Mae Portman passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

Cindy-Mae was a hard worker all her life where she excelled at customer service in the retail industry until physical injury forced her into retirement at an early age. At this time she discovered a passion for many hobbies such as fishing, reading, and knitting. In 2015 she knit over 100 toques and donated them to The Mustard Seed, which earned her an award of recognition through local radio station Country 105 for generous citizenship. She accepted that with great pride.

Cindy-Mae navigated her way through many hurdles in life but made no secret that her family was her grandest achievement. Raising a Son and a Daughter, enjoying the blessings of 2 Grandsons and 1 Granddaughter and 1 Great Granddaughter. Her love for us all was strong and endless.

In recent years Cindy-Mae connected with 2 more people in which the bond she formed with them was just as strong as family. A special mention for Alex and Janice, you both were a shining light in her world.

Cindy-Mae is survived by her son Troy Filipionek, Daughter Tammy Filipionek (Dave), Grandchildren Brandon Brown (Katerina), Cassidy Filipionek (Cederic), Josh Filipionek (Erica), and Great Granddaughter Summer Brown. Also survived by many friends and extended family.

Pre-Deceased by her beloved mother Ivy. As per Cindy-Mae’s wish there will not be a funeral service.

In lieu of flowers Donations in Cindy-Mae’s name may be made to any animal shelter of your choosing.
