Obituary of Gordon Roy Bertram

Gordon passed away peacefully at the age of 71 years.  He was born in Calgary, Alberta, one of four children. The family moved to Sundre, where he spent his younger years. Gord spoke often of his nieces and nephews and their children. Gord spent most of his later years in and around Strathmore, but loved to visit B.C.

He was a man of many talents and was exceptionally good at upholstering. Most people recognized his mobile shop in his blue panel van where Gord could be spotted around town. He made many friends during his time and also enjoyed gardening and various handicrafts. Gord enjoyed chatting with friends and was a great storyteller. Gord had some challenges in his life but faced them with a smile and determination that was admired by many.

Gordon is survived by his sister Ethel, his brother Allen, seven nieces and nephews along with several great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews.

A Celebration of Gord’s life will be held on Tuesday April 30, 2024,  at 2:00 p.m. at the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 10.
