MUISE, Jason John Albert December 30, 1976 – July 1, 2014 On Tuesday, July 1, 2014 Jason Muise passed away at the age of 37 years after a three and half year battle with cancer. Jason will be loving remembered by his wife Charity of 17 years; children Appollo and Alexis Muise; parents John and Nancy Muise; sister Jennifer Muise; mother-in-law Patty MacNevin (Keir); father-in-law Lewis Stevenson; mother-in-law Susan Krahn; sisters-in-law Crystal Brown (Jody), and Allison Stevenson (Lyle); brother-in-law Jason Stevenson (Krista); nieces and nephews Emily Bahme, Ashton Bahme, Kacie Robinson, and Haydn Brown; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and family friends. Jason’s battle was proof to everyone how strong he was. His favorite saying was “Don’t sweat the small stuff”, and to Jason it was all small stuff. Jason was a loving father and chose to leave a legacy of empowerment to his two beautiful children. To all of those who knew him he was the embodiment of good humor, a light when the world seemed dark, and a friend when a friend was needed. Jason was born in Belleville, Ontario on December 30, 1976. He moved to Calgary at a young age with his parents and sister where he grew up and attended school. He met is soul mate and future wife Charity while attending Crescent Heights High School and they went on to have two amazing children. Jason and Charity were married July 19, 1997 in Calgary, Alberta. They moved to Strathmore in May of 2007 and made the town their home. Jason was working at Rattray Reclamation when he was diagnosed with his illness. Jason loved his job and the people he worked with. Jason also managed the paper carriers at the Strathmore Standard for a time and was an integral part of the team at the newspaper. He has touched many lives and his will be honored and celebrated by all those who were lucky enough to have known him. A very warm thank you goes out to Dr. Sader and the nursing staff at the Strathmore Hospital who took such excellent care of Jason while he was there. A celebration of Jason’s life will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Hope Community Covenant Church (Strathmore) at 3:00 p.m. A reception for close family and friends follows immediately at Roadhouse Restaurant and Saloon (Suite K-510, Hwy 1, Strathmore). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Strathmore Hospital Auxiliary (200 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore, Alberta, T1P 1J9) in Jason’s name.
