Obituary of June DALEN

DALEN, June (nee Morrison) June was born June 18th, 1929 in Medicine Hat, Alberta and passed away October 21st, 2013 in Strathmore, Alberta. June was raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta. One of 8 children, June was part of a very busy household. Growing up, she helped out in her family’s bakery, and in her free time, loved movies and roller-skating. After she was done school, she worked in neighboring Redcliff’s glass factory. She later married and moved to Calgary, where she managed a busy life: working, running the household, and doting on her two children. After her retirement, June moved out to Strathmore, where she spent her last years. June was a gentle person with just a touch of mischief in her, and people loved being around her. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arnold, her son and daughter, Danny (Gaylene) and Cindy (Deryk), her four loving grandchildren, Kayle, Chelsey, Ethan and Bryce. She is predeceased by her sisters Agnes, Catherine, and Betty, and by her brothers, David, Samuel, William, and Frank. June’s kindness and natural tendency to fun brought joy to all of us around her, and when she left us, our world lost some of its glow. We will miss her dearly. Send Condolences
