Obituary of Cyril Wentworth CRAIG

CRAIG, Cyril Wentworth June 4, 1935– May 10, 2013 Cyril was born in Hailfax, Nova Scotia and passed away in Calgary, Alberta. He fought his cancer to the end. He was predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Gerald; three sisters, Doris, Marion and Carol; and his brother Don. Cyril was a Navy cook for 27 years which took him all over the world, cooking for the Queen Mother, and the King and Queen of the Netherlands. Twenty seven moves and a lot of camping trips later, Cyril retired from the forces. He then started a new career as a boiler maker for the Calgary School Board for 18 years. His final retirement was at Strathmore, Alberta. Cyril will be lovingly remembered by his Love Denny of 57 years; daughters Debbie (Don), Wenda (Steve); son Brian; grandchildren Ray (Jenn), Dan (Audrey), Julia and Jurvis; as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Cyril’s life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion Hall (230 2nd Ave, Strathmore) at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Cyril may be made directly to the Strathmore Royal Canadian Legion (Box 2141, Strathmore, Alberta, T1P 1K1), or to your local food bank.
