Obituary of Rosa Nellie Vogel

Vogel, Rosa Nellie (nee: Reeve, Smith) 9 October 1926-10 March 2018 Rosa Reeve was born in Steyning West Sussex, England to Thomas and Nellie Reeve. There she met William (Bill) Alfred Smith and they were married December 9th, 1943. Rosa came across the ocean too Canada on the Queen Mary with two young boys in 1946. Bill and Rosa had one more son in 1954, before Bill passed away in July 1965. She then met Chester Vogel and they were married on October 7th, 1967 and they had one son together. They lived in Calgary before moving to Strathmore, were they lived for many years before Chester’s passing in September 2007. Rosa is predeceased by her parents in England, Thomas and Nellie Reeve; her three sisters, Dorothy (Val), Phyllis, and Joan; and her stepson Larry. She is survived by her sons John (Julie), Barry (Dawn), Wayne (Charlene), and Terry (Lori-Lee); and her step children Lindsay, Jean (Wayne), and Joan (Wall). She was a grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. A celebration of Rosa’s life will be held on April 21, 2018 at Wheatland Funeral Chapel (202 Lakeside Blvd., Strathmore, AB) at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Strathmore Cemetery.
