Obituary of Linda Ann McKENZIE

McKENZIE, Linda Ann It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Ann McKenzie, 57, of Carseland, Alberta, announce her departure from them. Born on May 15, 1955, she was the daughter of Jean Burke and the late John Benko. A constant traveller, Linda made her final journey home to her Creator on February 26, 2013. Linda will be greeted at the gates by her father John Benko, neice Talia-Rae Benko, and nephew Christopher Shaw. She leaves behind her loving husband of 37 years, Lance McKenzie, and their three children Mike McKenzie (Melissa Gross), Michelle McKenzie, and Mark (Elizabeth) McKenzie. To know Linda was to know that her grandchildren meant the world to her. Nanna is loved by her 4 grandkids Christian and Caleb, and Tristen and Chase. She also leaves behind two brothers John and Brian; five sisters Marlene, Patti, Karen, Michelle, and Nicole and their spouses; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family chain is broken now And nothing seems the same. But as God takes us one by one That chain will link again. The family would like to thank the staff of the Peter Lougheed Hospital ICU and a special thank you to nurses Gail and Leslie for being more than just nurses, but also being friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Carseland Community Hall at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Canada (Suite 303, 1311 Howe Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2P3).
