Obituary of Anton REINHOFFER

REINHOFFER, Anton (Tony) December 1, 1924 – April 6, 2012 Anton Reinhoffer passed away on Friday, April 6 at the age of 87. Tony was born in Apatin, Yugoslavia and immigrated to Canada with family in 1952. He worked in Empress and Picture Butte until 1954 and then moved his family to Calgary where he lived and worked until 1987. Tony and Therese then moved to Strathmore where he retired in 1989. Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Therese. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Erna and Ken Lloyd; grandchildren Danielle (Reg), Kevin, and Carie (Chad); great grandchildren Victoria, Payton, Thomas, Adriana & Nicola; his brother, Joseph (Ursula) of Wisconsin, USA; brother-in-law Christian Zeeb; and other family in Canada, the U.S. and in Germany. Tony was predeceased by his son Edgar (Ed) in 2009; his father and mother; and by his brothers George, in Yugoslavia and John, in the U.S. The family would like to thank Dr. Ward Fanning and also the staff at the Strathmore Long Term Care Facility for the care Tony received over the past few years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at Lord of All Lutheran Church (112 Lakeside Blvd, Strathmore) at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.
