EARNSHAW, Pansy Margarite (Perry)
It is with broken hearts, the family announces the passing of Pansy Margarite Earnshaw at St. Mary’s Health Care Centre in Trochu, Alberta on May 20, 2017 at the age of 85 years.Pansy was born in Port Arthur, (Thunder Bay) Ontario. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, had a great time fishing, loved to dance, loved going to bingo with her friends, and her most recent hobby, painting ceramic figurines. Mom was a history buff, always telling us about events that happened in the past. In 1947 mom met dad while working in Eaton’s meat department. They soon fell in love and were married on August 6, 1951 and had four wonderful children. Thereafter, mom stayed in Thunder Bay for a few years after the loss of her husband Doug in 1982. She then sold her house and moved from Thunder Bay to live with her daughter Darlene and her family, on a farm near Strathmore, AB in 1992, then moved to Strathmore where she lived a happy life for quite a few years. She struggled with the loss of her vision in recent years and moved to Golden Hills Lodge in Three Hills, Ab in 2011. Less than a year later she moved in with her daughter Lorraine and her husband in Trochu, AB. As she got older, she moved to the Chateau Three Hills in Three Hills, AB and then to St. Mary’s Health Care Centre in Trochu. Pansy is predeceased by her loving husband Doug, her sister Dona Forsythe, her brother Dwayne Perry. She is survived by her sister Linda Ryan, her daughters Cheryl Martin, Darlene Millis (Dan), Lorraine Schilling (Charles), her son Douglas Earnshaw (Kathie), grandchildren Jennifer Heaton (Cade), Robert Martin (Crystal), Wendy Martin (Dave), James Millis (Marlene), Johnathon Kwisses, Jacob Kwisses, Shayne Earnshaw, Alexandra Earnshaw and 13 great grandchildren who loved her very much. Family would like to thank Dr. Piesas, Dr. Rode, Dr. Chari and the Three Hills Health Centre staff and Home Care department, the Red Deer Reginal Hospital ICU staff, the Insite Home Care Staff at Chateau Three Hills and St. Mary’s Health Care Centre. As our mom was a Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary member of over 60 years, there will be a service at Wheatland Funeral Chapel with an Honour Guard on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Interment services will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thunder Bay, ON at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that those who wish , may make donations directly to War Amps Canada (1 Maybrook Drive Scarborough, Ontario, M1V 5K9).
