Obituary of Robert Angus DRAKE

DRAKE, Robert Angus On March 9, 2012, Robert (Bob) Angus Drake of Strathmore, Alberta passed away at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis; son Keith and daughter-in-law Grace; son Don and daughter-in-law Donna; grandchildren, Jenni and husband Jeff Dirsten, Tyler Drake and wife Jamie-Lee, Jocelyn and husband Chris Permann, and Jordan Drake and wife Evelyn; great grandchildren Parker, Sawyer, Grace, Lilly, Jorgia, Hailey, Jaxon, Clark and Bayley; sister Doris and husband John Paris; and sister-in-law Edna Vermunt. Bob was born in Calgary and spent his entire 83 years working the farm in Cheadle with his father, and later his sons Keith and Don. His passion for farming was almost equalled by his love of flying. Since the 50s, he and Phyllis enjoyed the thrill of travelling in their small aircraft throughout North America, especially to spend time with their many Flying Farmer friends. His faith in God was solid, and he was instrumental in founding the Strathmore Alliance Church in 1962, attending there until his last days.
