Obituary of Gordon Ray Wutzke

WUTZKE, Gordon June 21, 1960 – February 2, 2018 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, and father, Gordon Roy Wutzke on February 2, 2018 at the age of 57. Gordon is survived by his loving parents Ferdinand and Maria Wutzke, his beloved son Rory Alexander Wutzke (Kathy Schultz) and his brothers Jeffrey Wutzke (Judy Hildahl) and David Wutzke (Christa Nicholson). Gordon was the first born grandchild which brought much joy to the family. His Opa was a major influence on him, helping him master spoken German at a very young age, and influencing his mechanical mind. Both Gordon and his brother Jeff had a great interest and uncanny mechanical abilities as very young men. It started with improvising gaskets out of cardboard, then stock car racing; to building and competing the Infamous ‘Prairie Rat’ with their great friends Cameron Beard and Kevin Bertram. Together they became 2wd Tractor Pull Champions. Gordon will be remembered for this great achievement as well as his numerous other vehicles builds. Gordon spent his life building, fixing and creating vehicles. He loved to make things ”GO!” A true champion was born June 21, 1960 and passed away at his home doing what he loved to do. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Carseland Community Center at 1:00 p.m. with lunch to follow.
