Obituary of June Alice Urbaniec
June Alice Urbaniec of Strathmore entered heaven on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the age of 83 years. June was born in London, England and, in 1976, came to Canada with her husband and two sons, Paul and Liam. Shortly thereafter, June and her sons moved to High River, Alberta. June won many awards for her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. In the early 1990’s, June moved to Strathmore, Alberta and continued her passion of gardening and winning awards for best yard. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, and reading, but her greatest joy was sipping tea with friends and spinning tales of England. June was predeceased by her parents, Alice and James Haley; her eldest son, Paul; and her brother, David Haley. She is survived by her son, Liam; sister-in-law Marie Haley; nephew Matthew Haley; niece Hally Haley; and friend of many years, Margie. A Celebration of June’s life will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Strathmore Full Gospel Church at 2:00 p.m.
