Obituary of James Wesley Clark

James Wesley Clark completed his journey here on earth on August 9, 2018 at the age of 56 years. Jim was loved by many, especially his wife Joanne and their 3 children and their spouses, Jay (Lisa), Lindsay (Michael), and Derek (Erin). He was given the incredible gift of five beautiful grandchildren in his lifetime - Avery, Emmersyn, Nash, Easton, and Harper. Nothing was better in Jim's eyes than spending afternoons eating ice cream and having nap time with these little souls. Jim will also be dearly missed by his dad Jim, his brother Richard (Wendy), and sisters Barb (Bob) and Arlene (Russ). Jim holds a very special place in the hearts of his extended family which includes numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, as well as his friends. He is predeceased by his mom, Clara Clark, and his father and mother-in-law Joe and Tillie Koester.

Jim enjoyed a beautiful day of golf with friends, a quick game of cribbage and a friendly game of curling. He would always say, "Win or lose the beer tastes the same, so just enjoy the game."

Jim had an amazing outlook on life and the changes that he experienced. Change was an opportunity to try something new. As he would say, " Life is about how you react to what is given to you. It's up to you. You choose." He would always see the positive side and just go with the flow.

We are so grateful to Dr. Hau and her staff, including Cheyenne, Dr. O Brien, and all of the caring, compassionate staff at the Strathmore Hospital and the Strathmore Home Care.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the Wheatland & Area Hospice Society (Box 2154, Strathmore, AB. T1P 1K2 or online at wheatlandhospice.ca).

A celebration in honor of Jim will take place on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Hope Community Covenant Church
