Obituary of Billie Eileen Clampitt

On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, Eileen Clampitt of Strathmore, Alberta former long time resident of Kincaid and Woodrow, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully in Strathmore at the age of 88 years. Eileen is survived by her loving family, six children, Cliff (Bev) Clampitt of Thomson Lake, SK, Les (Brenda) Clampitt of Strathmore, AB, Jean Clampitt (Tom Pena) of Kincaid, SK, Archie Clampitt of Medicine Hat, AB, Richard (Daniela) Clampitt of Calgary, AB, Leonard Clampitt of Okinawa, Japan; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Jean Burr of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard “Bert” Clampitt; granddaughter, Stephanie Clampitt; sisters, June and Shirley and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth. Eileen was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Woodrow. The Toronto Maple Leafs have lost one of their most loyal fans as Eileen never missed a Leaf game on TV. Eileen had several notebooks full of the scores of all the Leafs games over the last number of years. She would beam whenever the Leafs would beat the arch rival Montreal Canadiens. Eileen always enjoyed visiting with her sister Jean in Calgary over the last number of years and they spent many an hour putting together puzzles. Eileen would always talk of her time spent with her sister and how much she enjoyed it.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Glencaid United Church in Kincaid, SK.
