Obituary of Elaine Joyce Forbes

It is with saddened hearts the family announces after a short but courageous battle with cancer, Elaine went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2019 in Strathmore Hospital at the age of 65. She was predeceased by her parents Joyce and Percy; and brother Jim. She is survived by sons Wayne (Catherine) of Goose Bay, NL and Troy (Carrie) of Strathmore AB; sisters Elizabeth (Richard) of Parleeville, NB and Nancy (Raymond) of Yarmouth, NS; grandchildren Jessie, Sebastian, Austin, Olivia, Brett, Turner; numerous nieces and nephews; and companion Garry Schatz. She was previously employed by Walmart Canada for fifteen years and had recently graduated from Reeves College in Calgary with a Diploma in Business Administration. She was an avid gardener and will always be remembered for her dedication to her family and friends, her beautiful smile, and quick wit. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Foothills Medical Center and Strathmore Hospital for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wheatland Funeral Home, Strathmore, AB. A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at a future date.
