Obituary of Audrey Nancy Melnyk

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Audrey Melnyk, beloved sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, who passed away at the Strathmore Hospital on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the age of 81 years. She leaves behind her wonderful brother, Larry Zrobek; loving husband, George Melnyk; two children, Audra Gorgiev and Kyle Melnyk; and one grandson, Lukas Gorgiev. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. at Wheatland Funeral Chapel, 202 Lakeside Boulevard, Strathmore, Alberta. A light lunch will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Strathmore Lakes Bay clubhouse (24 Strathmore Lakes Bay). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Wheatland & Area Hospice Society (Box 2370 Strathmore, Alberta T1P 1K3) or the Alberta Cancer Foundation (1620-29 Street NW, Suite 300, Calgary, Alberta T2N 4L7).
