Obituary of George Melnyk

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of George Melnyk, beloved brother, husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away at South Health Campus on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Following George’s wife, Audrey’s, passing last June, we can all take comfort in the fact that they’re reunited again forever. George leaves behind his wonderful brothers, Mike and Bob Melnyk; loving sister Eileen Shaw; two children, Audra Gorgiev and Kyle Melnyk; and one grandson, Lukas Gorgiev. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Wheatland Funeral Chapel (202 Lakeside Boulevard, Strathmore) followed by a light lunch at 1:00 p.m. at Strathmore Alliance Church (325 1st Ave, Strathmore).
