Dr. Terrence Procyshen

Obituary of Dr. Terrence Dale Procyshen

February. 9, 1955 - January 19, 2024

Terry was born in Prince Albert, Sask., grew up and went to school in Saskatoon at U of S and then to Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He then moved to Alberta and opened the Strathmore office in1981 and a Canmore office for a time. He lived variously in Canmore, Calgary and settled finally near Carseland. He was very focused on his patients wellbeing and was dedicated to finding solutions for their needs.

When not in the office seeing patients he loved being in the outdoors either hiking, camping or snowboarding. There was always lots of work to be done on the acreage where he lived with his wife, Clare. He was assisted in those tasks by his dogs, Bear, Ranger, Mars and Daphne and his John Deere tractor, and a lot of help and advice from well-experienced neighbours. He was an active member of the Carseland Lions Club for many years where he put his culinary skills to the test as he made monthly supper for the group, with help from some of the members, and more recently he loved the Sunday morning Bow River walk that included ‘the guys’ and all of their dogs. He was larger than life, a hard worker, and was interested in everyone. He will be sorely missed.

Terry is survived by his wife, Clare, his mother Anne Deptuck, aunts Stella and Helen, cousins Scott (Heather), Darrel, Dale, Colleen (Corey), Les (Patti), Debi (Neil), Joanne, Cindy, Janet and many friends and acquaintances.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Hope Community Covenant Church at 1:00 p.m. Unfortunately, we have noticed that fake obituaries have appeared online on websites other than our own.
